How do I play?
Every letter in the quote has been swapped for another letter. Tap a letter in the puzzle and type what you think it really is. Every matching letter fills in at once. Solve the whole quote to reveal who said it.
When is the next daily puzzle?
A new Daily puzzle starts at midnight in your local time zone. Everyone gets the same quote on the same day, so you can compare times with family and friends. Endless mode has as many extra puzzles as you like.
My streak or stats disappeared
Progress is saved only on your device. Deleting the app, or clearing this website's data in your browser, removes it. Stats aren't shared between the app and the website.
How do I turn the daily reminder on or off?
In the app, tap the bell icon at the top right. You can also turn notifications off in your phone's Settings.
Where do the quotes come from?
From Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus, Zeno, Cleanthes and Musonius Rufus. They're adapted from public-domain translations by George Long and R. D. Hicks, or newly translated from the original Latin and Greek.
